In the past when I was younger I got myself in some credit card debt. When your young you aren’t as responsible or at least I wasn’t . I got a few credit card offers so I applied and got credit. I ended up losing my job and little by little I was using my credit cards to get by. Next thing you know you owe thousands. If your like me without income you couldn’t pay the payments. I ended up having the accounts go to collections. I was denying that I really owed money. I let it go to were my credit was wrecked and I couldn’t get credit anywhere. To this day I don’t get credit card offers. I recently checked my credit and its a 692 so not that bad. However I recently read your credit score isn’t the same as your FICO score. I’m not sure how much they relate. If I could go back and do it again I would use consumer debt to get help. Its not fun going seven years with bad credit. I haven’t tried to buy anything expensive like a house or brand new car. I know since I had a bad credit history my interest rates are not going to be that great.
