getting a arizona dui
I personally don’t drink anymore. I think it has to do with who you hang out with and if you go to bars. Bars are designed to sell you beer and liquor. You stick out if you don’t drink alcohol in a bar. I’m actually glad I don’t have out with any of my bad influence friends. This gives me a way to improve my life in many ways. My brother wasn’t so lucky though.
He probably got away with drinking and driving for many years. Until one night he drove through a empty parking lot heading to a drive through Chinese restaurant that wasn’t opened. A police officer got right behind him then pulled him over. My brother was cutting through a parking lot which your not suppose to do. He admitted to the officer that he had at least four beers. My guess it was much more. He failed the breathalizer and was booked in jail for the night. He was charged with DUI. He’s lucky he doesn’t live in Arizona. There jail time is usually manitory.
The next morning he called one of our friends and I drove to pick him up near the jail. He had a fine of around $3500.00 and a license suspended after 30 days. I don’t get why they do this I guess so you can try and get a special permit so you can legally drive to work and back. My brother took drug and alcohol classes which is called the deversion program here in Oregon. If he completed this program he wouldn’t have the DUI on his record and the fine would be dropped. However he still had to pay fees to take the classes. He had a urine drug test once a week. If you missed any of the classes you had to take the class over.
My advice is don’t drink and drive and if you do make the mistake and get a DUI to get a DUI Attorney and learn all your rights.
About ten years ago I was wrongfully arrested in a riot situation and didn’t talk to anyone until I spoke to a Attorney first. You have this right and you are suppose to use it when your in this situation. Once you go talking to investigators they are going to try and get anything on you and use it against you. I’m sure they are good at twisting things up or getting you to admit to things you didn’t do. I was never charged with anything like I should because I didn’t do anything wrong. But going through what I did you think its me against them and they aren’t on my side even though you are completely innocent. Being in the wrong place and the wrong time is a very true slogan. It’s not one you wont to be using.
