dui schools

I live in Oregon so we have for first time DUI arrest what is called the DUII Diversion Program? It is something like dui schools or maybe even is the same thing I’m not exactly sure. In Oregon Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) is a Class A misdemeanor or a Class C felony. The misdemeanor is punishable up to 1 year in jail and $6250 in fines. If a minor is in the vehicle at the same time the fine can go as high as $10.000. A felony DUI is punishable maximum of 5 years in prison and $125,000 in fines.

Ok. now some of the advantages to going through the diversion program.

After completing your diversion program successfully you won’t have the conviction on your driving record. It shows up as a diversion instead of a conviction. The cost to you are much lower then if you were to just get the fine. You won’t have your drivers license suspended by the court system. You are not required to serve jail time or do community service.
