If your a entrepreneur like I am your always keeping your eye open for ways to make money. I have noticed that most of the successful tv personalities have a book out. For example Suzy Orman the money budgeting guru you see on cable television. She has a book and is in a great position to promote it on her show. Of course she might not be able too or won’t for looking desperate. The late Tim russert who recently passed away had a couple of books out. It seems every time someone passes away the book sales go through the roof. After his passing you couldn’t find a book for sale at your local retail store. At least one of my family members couldn’t.
If your looking to getting into the book business you may find it hard to get started. It’s not easy finding a Book Publishersthat will take your book on. It’s like most really successful businesses you have to keep knocking on the doors. I have found that most super rich people worked there butt off to get to this high level. They got turned down many times. I’m a big fan of the Donny Douche show on the business station on cable. He has many super successful people on his tv show. One of them is the founder of Paul Mitchell. Its the famous hair shampoo. I think they only sell in hair saloons or barber shops. He is also the founder of Patron Vodka. Probably one of the most famous alcohol drinks known for its high price and luxury style. If your wanting more information on getting your book done check out How to Publish a Book

I have a couple of drunk driving stories. My brothers friend who now is in jail down in California for drug charges. A good guy hehe. He use to always get hammered drunk and of course drink and drive. Well one night he and his best friend where both hammered. Hes good friend who he always picked on was a little on the shall I say stupid side. He ended up flipping the car over into a ditch. The car was totaled after that.
My brother recently got a DUI. I did a blog entry about this. He is lucky no one got injured. He went through the Oregon DUII diversion program so he wasn’t convicted of the DUII. He also didn’t have to pa the $350.00 ticket or fines. The diversion program wasn’t free though. He paid weekly to take the drug and alcohol classes.
My brothers friend number 1 has gotten two duii’s in the past. He even got to drive around for a year with a breathe machine to make sure he wasn’t drunk before driving. This guy didn’t take life seriously or just never grew up. One time in the past he and his cousin got hammered and decided to go driving. He let his cousin drive and they ended up in the ditch. One of them lost half of his front tooth the other almost lost his eye. He got a scar because of it. The one has all kinds of problems such as domestic violence with his girl friend. One time she smashed a beer bottle over his head. If they doesn’t tell you maybe I have a drinking problem I’m not sure what will.
Friend number 2. I don’t really have a good drunk driving story on him but do know he had at a couple DUII’s. The thing with him is he barely is drunk but still cant pass the breath test. So he at one point had to breath into a machine to start his car.
If your a young person reading this try and pick better friends to be around. I know your young and want to have fun but you can be responsible and have fun at the same time. Before you know it drinking and partying will become boring and you will have outgrown this stage in your life. I say get a good education such as college or a high paying job and make some money. Enjoy life with vacations or spend money on your passions in life. You don’t need drugs or alcohol to have fun in life. Thats for sure.

I live in Oregon so we have for first time DUI arrest what is called the DUII Diversion Program? It is something like dui schools or maybe even is the same thing I’m not exactly sure. In Oregon Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) is a Class A misdemeanor or a Class C felony. The misdemeanor is punishable up to 1 year in jail and $6250 in fines. If a minor is in the vehicle at the same time the fine can go as high as $10.000. A felony DUI is punishable maximum of 5 years in prison and $125,000 in fines.
Ok. now some of the advantages to going through the diversion program.
After completing your diversion program successfully you won’t have the conviction on your driving record. It shows up as a diversion instead of a conviction. The cost to you are much lower then if you were to just get the fine. You won’t have your drivers license suspended by the court system. You are not required to serve jail time or do community service. If you are looking for more information on the Oregon DUII diversion program check the official link out Oregon DUII diversion program.

If you drink alcohol and then drive you are putting yourself at a high risk of getting into a drunk driving accident. I think it really has to do with who you hang out with. If your young you don’t usually think of the results that can happen if you do drink and drive. Like most people you never see it coming until it’s too late. You don’t realize how you are living your life until you get pulled over or in a accident because of driving drunk.
I use to be friends with some of my brothers friends. It just happens that most all of them drink alcohol. Any if they goto the bar they tend to drive home after having some alcohol. This I’m sure is a common thing in America. I can name at least five of my brothers friends that have gotten a DUI. Including my brother who recently just got one. A couple of his friends have more then one DUI. These friends have to breath into a machine before they can start there car up. This just shows how much of a problem alcohol is to them. Makes you think why is this drug legal but all others are illegal. Most illegal drugs impair you and you shouldn’t be operating motor vehicles. If the states put a stiffer penalty on drinking and driving I’m sure this would reduce the number of drunk driving accidents. I think they should. Drink alcohol doesn’t really have anything good with it. How do people plan to be super successful being alcoholics? I can see going to a 9-5 sure. But anyone that has major deals going on can’t be hammered or hung over making great money.

I personally don’t drink anymore. I think it has to do with who you hang out with and if you go to bars. Bars are designed to sell you beer and liquor. You stick out if you don’t drink alcohol in a bar. I’m actually glad I don’t have out with any of my bad influence friends. This gives me a way to improve my life in many ways. My brother wasn’t so lucky though.
He probably got away with drinking and driving for many years. Until one night he drove through a empty parking lot heading to a drive through Chinese restaurant that wasn’t opened. A police officer got right behind him then pulled him over. My brother was cutting through a parking lot which your not suppose to do. He admitted to the officer that he had at least four beers. My guess it was much more. He failed the breathalizer and was booked in jail for the night. He was charged with DUI. He’s lucky he doesn’t live in Arizona. There jail time is usually manitory.
The next morning he called one of our friends and I drove to pick him up near the jail. He had a fine of around $3500.00 and a license suspended after 30 days. I don’t get why they do this I guess so you can try and get a special permit so you can legally drive to work and back. My brother took drug and alcohol classes which is called the deversion program here in Oregon. If he completed this program he wouldn’t have the DUI on his record and the fine would be dropped. However he still had to pay fees to take the classes. He had a urine drug test once a week. If you missed any of the classes you had to take the class over.
My advice is don’t drink and drive and if you do make the mistake and get a DUI to get a DUI Attorney and learn all your rights.
About ten years ago I was wrongfully arrested in a riot situation and didn’t talk to anyone until I spoke to a Attorney first. You have this right and you are suppose to use it when your in this situation. Once you go talking to investigators they are going to try and get anything on you and use it against you. I’m sure they are good at twisting things up or getting you to admit to things you didn’t do. I was never charged with anything like I should because I didn’t do anything wrong. But going through what I did you think its me against them and they aren’t on my side even though you are completely innocent. Being in the wrong place and the wrong time is a very true slogan. It’s not one you wont to be using.

It’s summer time and people take vacations this part of the year. I have even thought of moving to the beach. I live about 1 hour from the Oregon coast. I still haven’t bought any Leather Luggage. I need to though. So far I have only done short 1-2 day trips. So I just throw some extra clothing in the car and head out. I enjoy hiking and most recently took a trip to southern Oregon coastal area. I rented a atv to ride on the dunes. I happen to pick the biggest dunes in Oregon. So the 2 stroke I rented didn’t have a ton of power. I didn’t even attempt most of the dunes and was forced to ride in a certain area because the dunes were just to insane. Even if I was riding a fast banshee it might be scary at first.
Next time I go to the beach I need to buy some good Wheeled Luggage
Using a backpack for travel will just not cut it. My brother took a trip to the bahamas and bought some great Carry-On Luggage
My brother got a decent deal since they traveled during hurricane season. He and his friend thought I was jealous or something because I mentioned the hurricane season. It was all over the news. Too bad they don’t have enough common sense to know the facts. They were lucky to get a flight out on schedule. It was actually the last flight allowed out. They left the day before a big hurricane came through.

Most investors would say stay away from penny stocks. Sometimes I watch Jim Cramer the guy in the Mad money tv show. I can’t really stand him with his hyped up attitude. It just turns you off. I’m sure many people think this. However one of his callers asked him about penny stocks. He wouldn’t invest in them. He said anything below 5.00 a share is something you don’t want to invest in.
Many years ago I met one of my brothers friends from work. It was his boss. He was investing in penny stocks. I guess his dad had made some money with them. I tried investing in a oil energy company and lost. It was only like 300.00 or so from what I remember.
For some reason I still have my stock account. I had one with a small company and they closed my account. I think they said the fees cost more then the 50.00 I had in it. They were later bought out by Ameri trade.

It could be a risky area to invest in right now but also could make you some money once they rebound. Its the airlines stocks. They could possibly be the best short term stocks to invest in right now. I have been watching one called UAL Corporation, United airlines.
Stock ticker UAUA. It’s at 5.75/share. Back in 2007 it was trading as high as 50.00/share. If they turn it around this could make someone some good money.
Another sector I have been watching is the financial industry. One stock Country wide financial. Its trading at $4.58 a share now. It was high as 37.52 in the last 52 weeks. I think this is a good investment and the housing market has to get better some day. I’m by no means a good investor its just a guess.
I still have to get some businesses built up before I start to invest in the stock market.
