Johnny Rockets hamburgers franchise
I have been researching franchising as a business lately and ran into a hamburger one. Its called Johnny Rockets Inc. Ronn Teitelbaum the founder has 63 units now. He says entrepreneurs are better off breaking the rules or not even knowing what the rules are.
He says ” I did not know what I couldn’t do”. He started it in 1986 after a midlife career change. He spent a year and a half researching, planning and getting advice from foodservice experts.
“I did not know I couldn’t do a million dollars [in first-year sales] with 20 seats in 840 square feet,”
He grossed this much serving a handful of burgar, grill and fountain items. He modeled his food after a 1940s vintage malt shop.
