Most people don’t have a personal travel agent. Some of they are high priced some are fair priced. There are a few things you should do to get the cheap airline fares.
Make sure that you book your plane tickets in advance. I know a friend who had a spur of the moment urge to fly to Vegas on a Friday afternoon. He convinced too of his friends to go with him. I didn’t have the money at the time and neither did one of the other guys. He loaned one guy a little bit more money to buy a ticket. They get to the airport and are about to buy the tickets. The cost was 200.00 or so. I forget the correct amount. One of the guys says this is for round trip right? The lady said thats for one way. It was 400 and something for round trip. My one friend had plenty of money but didn’t want to pay for everyone so they had to cancel the trip. My friend was really upset they make the plans get to the airport and they can’t afford the trip.
Also if you do have a travel agent as a friend they use some software or are able to check prices. I know a guy who is in the business but now only does specialized flights. However he is still able to tell you the average price for flights. This is a good way to know if your getting ripped off or not.
