After watching the business channels on TV I think investing in real estate right now is a good move. It appears the huge increase in prices has leveled off or gone down. It is done going up is what I heard from the experts on real estate. One of the guys said that in the next five years real estate will be going down 15%. They also said their is a surplus of homes on the market right now. This causes the prices to go down in order for them to sell. Either way real estate is the best investment anyone can make. It is well known that real estate has made the most millionaires out of any other investment. Unlike real estate over time investment property goes up.
My fathers cousin recently sold his beach condo here in Oregon. It was located in Seaside Oregon about 1 hr 30 minutes from Portland Oregon. He bought it back in the last seventies for around $80,000. Today it would be worth easily $500,000 or more. He was forced to sell due to financial situations. One of my friends mother bought a very nice condo at the same beach. She payed around $550,000 and its worth a few years later $750,000.
